After a sensational first week of European football action, mainly in the Premier League and LaLiga, BetKing, the best online sports betting platform in Nigeria, is back to share more winning betting tips with you. The Premier League will be our main focus this week as well as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, who began their Saudi Pro League season with a defeat to Al Ettifaq. Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland found the net twice for Manchester City, who ran out 3-0 winners against Burnley in their season opener.

Teams like Liverpool will be looking for a more assertive showing after getting away with a lucky point against Chelsea while Manchester United and Arsenal will look to consolidate on last weekend’s victories. Before we dive into the analysis of this weekend’s games, remember to sign up to BetKing to enjoy the best odds and professional betting tips on the market. **Tottenham vs Manchester United** Despite Manchester United’s victory over Wolves on the opening weekend, Erik ten Hag’s men looked average and were fortunate to grab all three points. Spurs, however, dominated the game at Brentford but ended up with just a point for their troubles. It is a new dawn for Tottenham, with Harry Kane finally departing for Bayern Munich in a €100m deal. The England captain and former Spurs talisman scored 280 goals in 435 games for the club and leaves a huge void that Ange Postecoglou must find a way to fill.  Richarlison is currently being tasked with replacing Kane and his output for Spurs has been non-existent since his move from Everton in January (1 goal in 27 games). This game is especially tough to call, considering the shaky performance from both sides on the opening weekend. However, the Red Devils have a slight edge. United are unbeaten against Spurs in their last five games, winning four of them. In fact, they have only lost once to Tottenham in their last 9 meetings, a 6-1 defeat in October 2020. There have also been at least 3 yellow cards in five of the last six games involving these two sides, so the cards market is worth a punt. Taking all the available statistics into perspective, we are backing Manchester United to win or draw and taking advantage of BetKing’s high odds by backing Marcus Rashford to score anytime.

**Manchester City vs Newcastle** Last season’s champions take on a rapidly improving Newcastle United. The Magpies were sensational last season and secured a 4th place finish, their highest Premier League finish for more than 20 years.  Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has improved the squad even further with the additions of Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, and Tino Livramento. After a stunning 5-1 win over Aston Villa on the opening weekend, expectations are high for the Magpies this season.  However, Manchester City are a completely different challenge for Newcastle, especially at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s men won 17 of their 19 home games last season, scoring 60 and conceding just 17.  Man City have not lost in this fixture since 2019, collecting 8 wins on the trot at the Etihad.   Erling Haaland is also a major contributing factor in turning games in City’s favour. The Norwegian scored 22 of his 36 PL goals last season at the Etihad stadium.  To put that into context, he scored hat-tricks against Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester United, becoming the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick in three consecutive home appearances. After scoring twice in the opening game, Haaland is now averaging a goal every 22 touches, the best touch-to-goal ratio in Premier League history.  Despite Newcastle’s defensive solidity and obvious strengths, we are backing a narrow Manchester City win. We also expect a glut of corners with Guardiola’s men piling up the pressure at home.

**West Ham vs Chelsea** West Ham host Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday with both sides looking for their first win of the season.  The Hammers have endured a disappointing summer in the transfer market, failing to recruit some of their top targets and losing their captain, Declan Rice, to Arsenal.  Chelsea on the other hand, have been spending freely as they look to bounce back after a dreadful season. Both teams began their campaigns with 1-1 draws and early wins are needed to avoid the pressure that could follow a winless start.  Mauricio Pochettino will perhaps be granted more leeway given the scale of Chelsea’s rebuild but he will hope to earn his first win of the season at a difficult away ground.  David Moyes will be looking to silence some dissenting fans by earning what could be a huge three points against Chelsea.  Over the last few seasons, this fixture has been incredibly tough to call with West Ham winning three of the last eight meetings, and Chelsea winning four. It is also typically a low-scoring fixture with just 2 of the last 15 meetings between the two sides producing more than 4 goals.  West Ham have failed to score in just 2 of their 9 home games against Chelsea and one of our best betting tips for this weekend is a goal for West Ham.

**Liverpool vs Bournemouth**  Liverpool are set to host Bournemouth in their first Anfield appearance of the season. The last time Bournemouth visited, Jurgen Klopp’s men ran out 9-0 winners.  The Reds are often ruthless at home, losing just once in the league last season. (13 wins, 5 draws).  Klopp’s men dropped points away to Chelsea in their season opener, failing to capitalize on a rapid start and relinquishing an early lead. The game eventually ended 1-1 but the Anfield club can count themselves lucky to have come away with a point.  The absence of a defensive midfielder was apparent in Klopp’s attack-minded selection last weekend as Chelsea found spaces time and again but lacked the finishing touch.  The Blues have since hijacked Liverpool’s proposed deals for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, although Liverpool’s surprise move for Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo will soon be finalized. Regardless of last weekend’s result, the hosts are now unbeaten in 12 top-flight games at Anfield, where new Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola will face a true test of his managerial capabilities. Bournemouth began their season with a 1-1 draw against West Ham, going behind before ex-Liverpool man Dominic Solanke restored parity 8 minutes from time. The stalemate against West Ham showed some encouraging signs for Bournemouth under Iraola, and there won’t be a repeat of last year’s obliteration. In the absence of a defensive presence in midfield, Liverpool’s hopes of a clean sheet may be unrealistic, but Klopp’s side should still win their opening match of the season by a number of goals. Our bet of the day is for Mohamed Salah to score at any time.

**Crystal Palace vs Arsenal** Crystal Palace welcome Arsenal to Selhurst Park on Monday night to round off the weekend’s PL fixtures.  Both teams got off to winning starts last weekend, with Palace beating Sheffield United 1-0 and Arsenal overcoming a stubborn Nottingham Forest. The appointment of club favourite Roy Hodgson ultimately paid dividends as Crystal Palace fought off the threat of relegation.  As a reward, his interim role has since become permanent and the Eagles will be hoping to improve on last season’s home record (7 wins, 7 draws & 5 defeats). Arsenal enjoyed the league’s best away record last season (12 wins, 3 draws and four losses) and came out on top in both matches against Palace last term. The Gunners have won three of the last five fixtures between these two sides, suffering just one defeat in that period. Mikel Arteta’s men have also scored in their last five games against Palace, and we back them to find the net again.

**Al-Nassr vs Al-Taawon** Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr host last season’s 5th placed side Al Taawon in what is expected to be a keenly contested fixture. The hosts, Al Nassr, will look to bounce back from an opening-day defeat to Al Etiffaq, while the visitors already have a point on the board after playing out a draw against Al Fateh in their first game of the Saudi Pro League season. Al Nassr have already claimed silverware this season after Ronaldo led the team to a 2-1 win over Al-Hilal to win the Arab Club Champions Cup on Friday. Luis Castro’s side had very little time to rest on their laurels as they were back in action on Monday for their opening game of the new Saudi Pro League season against Al Ettifaq. Sadio Mane, another high-profile summer signing, opened the scoring in the fourth minute to give his side a half-time lead, but goals from Robin Quaison and Moussa Dembele condemned Al-Nassr to a 2-1 defeat.  Al Nassr will return to home surroundings on Friday, and they will have the chance to extend their 14-game unbeaten home run in the Saudi Pro League.   Al-Taawon on the other hand, entered the season in excellent form, winning their final seven league games of the 2022-23 season.  They failed to extend that winning run after dropping points against Al Fateh on the opening day of the new season.   Despite possessing an inferior squad to Al Nassr, Al Taawon should have no trouble scoring, after finding the net in 11 of their last 12 games. Regardless of Al Taawon’s ability to score, Al Nassr should prevail thanks to the firepower of Ronaldo and ex-Liverpool and Bayern Munich forward Mane.
