FC Kairat vs. Real Madrid

Real Madrid head to Kazakhstan for their first-ever clash with newbies Kairat Almaty. Kairat battled through four qualifying rounds, including a penalty win over Celtic, but their dream start quickly turned sour with a 4-1 loss to Sporting Lisbon on Matchday 1. While they responded domestically with a 3-1 win over Zhenis, they’re still without a win in three European home games.
Los Blancos, by contrast, boast immense pedigree - 15-time winners and victors over 111 different opponents in the competition, the most of any club. They rarely slip against new foes, winning 24 of their last 30 first meetings (D3 L3). However, there’s a noteworthy stat: Madrid have lost their last two away Champions League fixtures and haven’t lost three in a row on the road since 2001.
Xabi Alonso’s side opened the campaign with a 2-1 win over Marseille but come into this game off the back of a bruising 5-2 derby defeat to Atletico. Injuries to Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Antonio Rudiger leave their defense thin, which could offer value in goals markets. Still, with Kylian Mbappé firing and Madrid eager to bounce back, an away win with over 2.5 goals looks the standout play.
Betting Tips:
Chelsea vs. Benfica

A special night awaits at Stamford Bridge as Jose Mourinho returns with Benfica for his first Champions League game in charge of the Eagles. Both sides are chasing their first points after opening-round defeats, adding pressure to an already intriguing matchup.
Chelsea have had a dip in form in recent weeks with 3 losses in their last 4 games, including a 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the opening game of the Group Stage. They've also lost three straight in the Champions League proper, their longest run in the competition. Still, the Blues remain unbeaten at home in UCL group-stage fixtures since 2019, a trend worth noting for our online betting community.
Benfica’s collapse from 2-0 up to a 3-2 defeat against Qarabag cost Bruno Lage his job, but Mourinho has steadied them domestically with two wins and a draw. That said, history is against the Portuguese giants: they are winless in their last seven against English clubs in UEFA competition and have lost all three previous meetings with Chelsea, including the 2013 Europa League final.
With Chelsea’s injury-hit squad but strong home record, and Benfica’s poor English record but Mourinho’s tactical edge, this is hard to call. However, I think Chelsea will do enough here to avoid defeat against their iconic ex-manager.
Betting Tips:
Galatasaray vs. Liverpool

Liverpool travel to Istanbul looking to extend their fine European record, but a dangerous Galatasaray side awaits. The Reds edged Atletico Madrid 3-2 on Matchday 1, while Galatasaray suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Okan Buruk’s men rarely start slow. They’ve scored first in each of their last 19 matches and have hit two or more in nine of their past 11 European home outings. They’re also perfect at home this season with three wins, netting nine times and conceding just twice. With Victor Osimhen back from injury and Ilkay Gündogan and Leroy Sane adding quality, they’ll back themselves to score.
Still, history is concerning for them. Galatasaray have just one win from their last 18 Champions League games and are winless in seven European fixtures. They’ve also failed to beat Liverpool in four previous meetings.
Meanwhile, the Reds are prolific in the group stage with 56 goals in their last 23 non-knockout UCL games. They’ve also lost just once in their last 14 such outings (W13, L1). However, they’ve never won away to Galatasaray and remain leaky at the back, conceding two or more in half their matches this season. I say we lean on the goal-markets for this one.
Betting Tips:
Arsenal vs. Olympiacos

The Emirates hosts a familiar European clash on Wednesday as Arsenal welcome Olympiacos for their 13th meeting in continental competition. The rivalry has been finely balanced so far, with six wins apiece and no draws, though Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have taken two of the last four head-to-heads.
Arsenal are in fine European form, having opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao. They’ve now won five straight group-stage UCL games, their best run since 2004-05, and boast a remarkable 13 consecutive home wins in group play, including 10 clean sheets. Arteta’s men also come in high on confidence after a dramatic 96th-minute winner at Newcastle lifted them within touching distance of the top spot.
Olympiacos, meanwhile, stuttered to a 0-0 home draw with debutants Pafos on Matchday 1, extending a poor Champions League record of just two wins from their last 21 group fixtures. Away form is especially dire: 10 consecutive UCL group-stage defeats and nearly a decade without an away win at this level. Still, the Greeks have history at the Emirates, winning on their last three visits, and arrive unbeaten domestically after their own stoppage-time heroics at the weekend.
No go overthink am sha. Arsenal go win.
Betting Tips:
Monaco vs. Manchester City

Manchester City return to the Stade Louis II on Wednesday, revisiting the site of one of Pep Guardiola’s rare early Champions League exits. Monaco’s 2016-17 triumph remains a reminder of their ability to trouble Europe’s elite, and the hosts will lean on that history after a humbling 4-1 defeat to Club Brugge on Matchday 1.
Adi Hütter’s side have lost five of their last seven UCL matches but rise against English opposition, winning five of seven home ties against Premier League clubs. Ansu Fati’s bright start of four goals in three appearances offers Monaco a dangerous outlet, though defensive fragility remains a glaring weakness.
City are in far better shape, dispatching Napoli 2-0 before thrashing Burnley 5-1 at the weekend. Erling Haaland, already with 50 goals in 49 Champions League outings, makes his 50th appearance in the competition and headlines an attack that has scored in 28 of their last 30 European matches. Still, Guardiola’s men are on a four-game away losing streak in the Champions League, a trend Monaco will be eager to exploit.
Betting Tips:
Barcelona vs. PSG

Barcelona and PSG renew their fierce Champions League rivalry at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, meeting for the 16th time in Europe. The head-to-head is finely balanced (Barça 6 wins, PSG 5, 4 draws), though PSG have enjoyed recent success in Spain, winning their last two visits 4-1. Another victory here would make them the first side ever to beat Barcelona in three straight away games in European competition.
Hansi Flick’s men come into this clash in fine form, top of La Liga and unbeaten in their last five matches. They’ve scored at least two goals in 11 of their last 12 home Champions League games, averaging nearly three per outing. Lamine Yamal’s return alongside Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski gives the Catalans firepower despite several injuries.
Holders PSG are also firing, with four straight Champions League wins by a combined 12-1 score, including a 4-0 dismantling of Atalanta. Luis Enrique’s side remain the only team to have won three consecutive UCL games by four or more goals, a record they could extend. However, injuries to Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, and Ousmane Dembele could blunt their attack.
Personally, I expect a big game from Lamine Yamal. There’s never been a pettier teenager than the Spanish forward and I don’t believe he’s pleased with Dembele’s Balon d’Or win last week. My bet of the day is for him to score and on BetKing, we have the best odds for this market which would give you 3x your betting stake.
Betting Tips:
Villarreal vs. Juventus
Villarreal and Juventus meet again in the Champions League, rekindling a rivalry last seen in the 2021/22 Round of 16, when the Spaniards advanced 4-1 on aggregate. Juventus took the lead through Dušan Vlahović in that tie, but Villarreal hit back and ultimately cruised to victory. Since then, both clubs have evolved, but their competitive edge remains.
The Yellow Submarine have struggled at home in Europe, with just two wins from their last 12 Champions League games at La Cerámica (five draws, five defeats). They also failed to register a shot on target in their most recent group outing, making Ayoze Pérez pivotal if they are to spark their attack.
Juventus travel with confidence, losing just once in their last six away UCL matches against Spanish opposition. Key men are in form: Vlahovic contributed to three goals off the bench against Dortmund on Matchday 1, while Kenan Yildiz became the youngest Juventus and Turkish player ever to score and assist in the same Champions League game.
Betting Tips:
Borussia Dortmund vs. Athletic Bilbao
Borussia Dortmund host Athletic Bilbao at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night in search of their first Champions League win of the season. BVB were part of a 4-4 thriller against Juventus on Matchday 1, surrendering a 4-2 lead in stoppage time, while Athletic fell 2-0 at home to Arsenal on their long-awaited UCL return.
Dortmund are unbeaten in all competitions this season and come into this tie on the back of four straight Bundesliga wins without conceding – their best defensive run in five years. They’ve also won seven successive home games in all competitions, underlining Signal Iduna Park as a fortress. Serhou Guirassy, last season’s joint-top scorer in the Champions League (13 goals), is expected to return after a knock, while Karim Adeyemi is in red-hot form with three goals and two assists in his last four games.
Athletic, meanwhile, have stumbled after a bright start to LaLiga, taking just one point from their last four matches. They’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight outings, with star winger Nico Williams still a doubt.
