The UEFA Champions’ League group stage action is back this week and BetKing, Nigeria’s foremost online sports betting platform is on hand to give you professional betting tips, backed by the best odds to help you win big. There are a ton of mouthwatering fixtures in this week’s Champions League and we will be analyzing seven games that present high odds and the best opportunity to cash out big time. **Borussia Dortmund vs Newcastle** Eddie Howe’s Newcastle travel to Germany in excellent spirits after their stunning 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the weekend. Regardless of that superb performance, the Magpies need to perform better than they did two weeks ago if they plan to qualify from group F. Howe’s men fell to a 1-0 defeat to Dortmund at St James’ Park, leaving them with 4 points from three games and they can’t afford another defeat. Newcastle are absolutely capable of pulling out a result, as they showed in the 4-1 hammering of PSG at home. Dortmund, on the other hand, will be absolutely fuming after being crushed by bitter rivals Bayern Munich at the weekend. They lost 4-0 and never once looked like laying a glove on the Bundesliga champions. The German outfit are in a slightly better position that Newcastle in the Champions League, with a better head-to-head record. They battled to a goalless draw with AC Milan, suffered a 2-0 loss to PSG in Paris but that victory at St James’ park will mean they can afford a draw and remain in good standing. With Newcastle being the more desperate side, we expect Howe’s men to come out in full attack mode and a gung-ho approach could lead to plenty of goals. Our bet of the day is Newcastle to avoid defeat and at to score at least 2 goals.
**Manchester City vs Young Boys** You have to fear for Young Boys as they visit the Etihad this week after Manchester City demolished Bournemouth 6-1. City currently hold a 100% record in Group G, defeating Leipzig, Red Star and Young Boys, making their qualification an almost foregone conclusion. City’s 6-1 destruction of a truly hapless Bournemouth side was their fourth win in a row, six days after their superb 3-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Pep Guardiola’s team are looking ominous and hitting their best form at the right time, making this a daunting task for Young Boys. The Swiss side are playing well on the domestic front and romped to a 4-1 win at FC Winterthur in the league, but their Champions League journey has been a different story. They are winless in three games – two defeats to City and Leipzig, while drawing with Red Star. This is certainly another defeat and there will be goals galore. Erling Haaland picked up a knock against Bournemouth on the weekend and could miss this game which makes backing Julian Alvarez to score anytime, good value.
**Shakhtar vs Barcelona** Barcelona has lost just one out of 8 games but have only scored more than two goals once since the end of September. It’s probably a great idea to back the ‘Under goals’ option in this one. Xavi’s men will book their spot in the knockout stages e if they avoid defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk and we fully expect them to. The Blaugrana have been excellent in Group, with 3 wins from 3, 8 goals scored, 1 conceded. They defeated Shakhtar 2-1 a fortnight ago but were so dominant, they should have scored more. Shakhtar began their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 home defeat to Portugues giants FC Porto, but they got themselves back on track with a well-earned 3-2 win over Royal Antwerp in their second game. Marino Pusic’s side will have taken some positives from matchday 3 defeat to Barcelona, fighting hard but losing 2-1 in the end. The Ukrainian side have three points from three games leaving them in third position, 3 points behind Porto. Shakhtar have failed to get past the group stages in each of their last five Champions League campaigns, and will be eager to snap that unwelcome streak and qualify for the knockout round this year. They cannot be underestimated and thus, the best bet prediction for this game is a Barcelona win and for both teams to score.
**Real Madrid vs Braga** Spanish giants Real Madrid will be looking to make it 4 straight wins in Group C, when they welcome Braga to the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening. Carlo Ancelotti’s men took all three points on their visit to Portugal on matchday 3 and are now comfortably at the top of the group, with just one more point needed to ensure qualification. Jude Bellingham has been in outstanding form, scoring 13 goals in his 14 appearances for Los Blancos this season with 3 of those coming in his 3 Champions League games. 6 of his 13 goals have also come in 7 home games, and we expect that trend to continue. Braga, meanwhile, come into this one in top form after crushing Portimonense 6-1 in the Primeira Liga on Saturday night. The Portuguese outfit have 3 points in this group after one victory and two defeats, their only win coming courtesy of a superb 3-2 win against Union Berlin. While Braga performed admirably in the 2-1 defeat to Madrid, we expect them to lose again. To take advantage of BetKing’s high odds, back Real Madrid to win and Jude Bellingham to score anytime.
**Arsenal vs Sevilla** Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be looking to put a tough weekend behind them by taking maximum points against Sevilla at the Emirates on Wednesday. The Gunners succumbed to their first league defeat of the season, a feisty 1-0 reverse to Newcastle that had Arteta fuming in the post-game presser. After their 2-1 defeat at Lens on matchday two, the North Londoners took control of Group B with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Sevilla a fortnight ago. That success, coupled with results elsewhere, pushed Arsenal to the top of the group and another win will seal their place in the last-16. As for Sevilla, they sit third in the group after back-to-back draws against Lens and PSV before their home defeat to Arsenal.Sevilla are in mediocre form at the moment, mid-table in LaLiga and stumbled to a 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo at the weekend. Another tight affair should be in store with Arsenal claiming a narrow home win to secure qualification. Sevilla have picked up more bookings than their opponents in their three Champions League games so far and we expect that trend to continue.
**Napoli vs Union Berlin** Napoli will look to continue their charge without the injured Victor Osimhen as they welcome troubled Bundesliga side Union Berlin to the Diego Maradona Stadium this week. The Partenopei took a one-goal win back from the Olympiastadion and are in confident form after winning 3 of their last 4 games, including a 2-0 win over Salernitana at the weekend. Union Berlin have lost their last 12 games in all competitions, failing to score a single goal in any of their last 5 defeats. In such wretched form and away from home, we can’t see this one going any other way. A Napoli home win to nil is the bet of the day. In Osimhen’s absence, we are also backing Georgian wing-wizard Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to find the net for Rudi Garcia’s men.
**Milan vs PSG** Milan are in terrible form and must find a way to avoid defeat against high-flying PSG to keep their hopes of making it out of group F alive. PSG took control of the group with their 3-0 win over the Rossoneri a fortnight ago and now the Italians could suffer a shock elimination from a group in which they were considered joint favourites. Stefano Pioli’s men are winless in their last four games and have not scored a single goal in the Champions League this season — stark contrast to how they started the season (15 goals in first 6 games). They will have the San Siro crowd behind them against a rampant PSG team full of confidence. The Parisians have won their last 5 games, scoring 15 goals, conceding just 3. Kylian Mbappe is in excellent form with 12 goals in 13 games this season, including a stunning strike against Milan at the Parc des Princes. Luis Enrique’s men top the group with 6 points and a win here would surely see them seal their place in the last-16. However, the men from Paris have not kept an away clean sheet in the Champions League since beating Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0 in October 2020. Take advantage of our well-analyzed soccer betting tips and back today’s bet of the day, which is for both teams to score.
