There’s plenty to be excited about this weekend. Manchester United will hope the Carrick bounce can finally help them snap their poor run against Spurs, while Arsenal will have one eye firmly on the massive Anfield showdown between Liverpool and Manchester City. Could this be the weekend the Premier League title race effectively gets settled?
On top of that, there’s the main global attraction… the Super Bowl. The New England Patriots, the most successful franchise in NFL history, will chase their first title without the iconic Tom Brady and Bill Belichick duo, while the Seattle Seahawks will be out for revenge after their painful 2015 defeat. Let’s look at some of the best betting markets for punters this weekend.

Super Bowl LX: New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Super Bowl is much bigger than just a football game. It’s a worldwide sporting spectacle, a major cultural event, and - most importantly for the online sports betting community - a massive opportunity to cash in. Even if the NFL isn’t your regular go-to sport, the Super Bowl is that one game where everyone wants to get involved in the action.
This year’s Super Bowl, which is a rematch of the 2015 edition, features two teams that many didn’t expect to see here. Think of it like Borussia Dortmund and Juventus reaching a Champions League final. Both are historic, quality sides, but not necessarily the favourites people predicted at the start of the season. Yet, both the Seahawks and Patriots have made it, showing just how consistent they’ve been all year and how strong their coaching setups are. Quick side note - Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel was recently named Coach of the Year, while his Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels picked up Assistant Coach of the Year honours.
Looking at the matchup itself, the Seahawks come in as favourites, and it’s easy to see why. Their offense has been lighting up scoreboards all season, and there’s a convincing argument that they boast the best player on the field in Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Honestly, they’ve been one of the most entertaining teams to watch. That said, my bet of the day is that the Patriots will win.
The stage is familiar territory for them. This will be their 12th Super Bowl appearance, and a victory would give them a seventh title, setting a new NFL record. For context, the next closest franchise, the Pittsburgh Steelers, have only made eight appearances.
There’s also the old saying: offense wins games, but defense wins championships. The Patriots defense has been absolutely outstanding throughout the playoffs. Over their last three games, they’ve allowed just 8.7 points per game, which is an incredible number. Only one team in NFL history has posted a better playoff defensive record — the legendary 2000 Baltimore Ravens, who allowed just 5.8 points per game.
That Ravens team, of course, won the Super Bowl. In fact, every other team ranked in the top 5 among the best playoff defenses has also lifted the Lombardi Trophy; the 1998 Denver Broncos (10.7 points conceded per game), the 1990 New York Giants (11.7), and the 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (12.3). So, not only do I like the Patriots to win, I also expect this game to lean toward being a low-scoring contest, and on BetKing, we have the best odds for this.
Betting Tips:
Liverpool vs. Manchester City
The last two Premier League champions go head-to-head at Anfield this Sunday, but it’s Arsenal - watching from a distance - who could be the real winners. If both Man City and Aston Villa slip up, the Gunners could end the weekend nine points clear at the top.
After a rough start to 2026 that saw four draws and a defeat, Liverpool finally got their first league win of the year, brushing Newcastle aside in an emphatic 4-1 victory. It was a huge boost for Arne Slot, who had been flying in the Champions League but struggling to get the same tune out of his side domestically.
City, on the other hand, produced one of their best performances of the season against Spurs on Sunday, racing into a 2-0 lead by half-time, only to completely unravel after the break. That collapse left them six points behind Arsenal and feeling like there’s now zero margin for error in the title race. They responded a few days later by booking their place in the League Cup final with a comfortable 3-1 win over Newca… wait - seriously, why does everyone seem to batter Newcastle these days?
Back to this one. When these sides met earlier in the season, Liverpool were in a real slump (arguably still are), and Pep Guardiola’s men cruised to a 3-0 win. I don’t see it being that one-sided this time, and there are two key reasons why. First, City haven’t completed a league double over Liverpool since way back in the 1936/37 season - a wild stat considering their domestic dominance over the last decade and a half. Second, City have shown some cracks defensively, while Erling Haaland is enduring a rare dry spell, with just one league goal in his last seven outings. He’s also failed to score in all three of his Premier League away games at Anfield, which is one of only two grounds - along with the Stadium of Light - where he’s played but never found the net in the competition.
All that points to the goal markets being where the real value is. This is a must-win on both sides - City need three points to stay in touch with Arsenal, while Liverpool can’t afford to slip if they want to stay in the Top 4 race. That should make for a more open game than we’ve seen in most big clashes this season. Keep an eye on Rayan Cherki, who’s creating three chances per 90 minutes, second only to Bruno Fernandes in the league (3.4). Liverpool also have Hugo Ekitike, who’s been directly involved in a goal every 112 minutes this season, the best return by a Liverpool player in their debut campaign since Mohamed Salah, who averaged a goal or assist every 70 minutes in 2017/18.
Betting Tips:
Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Michael Carrick’s second spell as interim boss couldn’t have started much better. A convincing 2-0 win in the Manchester derby was followed by an upset victory at the Emirates, where Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha went toe-to-toe for Goal of the Month honours. Fulham then offered a very different challenge, as United somehow threw away a two-goal lead late on, only to snatch the win deep into stoppage time through Benjamin Šeško. The Red Devils are now unbeaten in seven Premier League games (W4 D3) and have won all three since Carrick stepped back in as interim. United last put together four straight league wins in February 2024 under Erik ten Hag, while the last time they had a longer unbeaten run came in February 2022 (eight games under Ralf Rangnick). So, what better way to test this resurgent United side than against a team that’s become something of a bogey opponent in recent years?
Recent history hasn’t been kind to United when it comes to Tottenham. Their last win over Spurs came back in October 2022, and since then they’ve gone eight matches without a victory against the North Londoners across all competitions. Last season was especially painful, with four defeats to Ange Postecoglou’s side, capped off by a Europa League final loss that left the Red Devils without European football this season for just the second time since 1990. When they met in London in November, United looked in control before conceding twice in the final six minutes, needing an even later Matthijs de Ligt goal just to rescue a point. If there’s ever been a good time to turn that record around, Saturday feels like it.
Spurs were in real trouble last weekend against the blue half of Manchester, trailing 2-0 and being booed off by their own fans at half-time. What followed, though, was arguably their best 45 minutes of the Premier League season under Thomas Frank. Dominic Solanke grabbed his first league goals of the campaign, including a stunning scorpion kick that brought back memories of Olivier Giroud’s famous effort.
Despite how encouraging that second-half display was, the draw left Spurs without a win in their last six league games (D4 L2), their longest run since a seven-game stretch in 2024/25. That said, five of their seven league wins this season have come away from home, and having won 3-0 at Old Trafford last term, they’ll arrive with a clear psychological edge.
As tempting as it is to back Carrick to extend United’s winning run, the safer play here is the 1UP or HTUP options, with United likely to find themselves ahead at some point. From there, the goals market once again looks appealing. United boast one of the league’s most potent attacks, with only Manchester City (49) and Arsenal (46) scoring more goals than their 44. Defensively, though, there are still big question marks, with just three clean sheets in 26 games across all competitions. Spurs have their own issues at the back, too, with injuries piling up and their last league clean sheet coming way back on New Year’s Day.
Betting Tips:
OTHER GAMES TO KEEP AN EYE ON…
Barcelona vs. Mallorca
This game isn’t exactly a headline-grabber, and with Barcelona winning their last seven home games against Mallorca, it’s easy to assume they’ll make it eight on the bounce. That said, the Catalans haven’t been leaky defensively, keeping just one clean sheet in their last six matches. Mallorca also boasts the league’s second top scorer in Vedat Muriqi. The 31-year-old Kosovar has netted 15 goals in 21 LaLiga games, with only Kylian Mbappé ahead of him. All things considered, Both Teams To Score feels like the smart play here.
Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score (GG) @1.81
Real Madrid vs. Valencia
It’s been a mixed season for the Galácticos, but one thing that has been dependable is Kylian Mbappé finding the net. The French star has 37 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions, including 22 in 21 league games. I’ve got him down as an Anytime Scorer against Valencia on Sunday.
Betting Tip: Kylian Mbappé Anytime Scorer @1.58
Atletico Madrid vs. Real Betis
After meeting in the Copa del Rey quarter-final on Thursday where Atleti demolished Betis 5-0, these two sides face off again just four days later, with Atlético hosting this time. One thing you can usually count on is Diego Simeone’s solid defensive setup. Atlético have kept six clean sheets in their last ten games across all competitions, and only one team - Real Madrid - has scored more than once against them in that run.
Betting Tip: Real Betis Under 1.5 Total Goals @1.26
Sassuolo vs. Inter
Sassuolo have settled nicely since returning to Serie A and currently sit 11th, not too far off the European places. This weekend, though, they welcome league leaders Inter, who edged them out back in September. Inter also boast the best away record in Italy, winning nine of their 11 road games so far. It won’t be straightforward, but this feels like a good spot to deploy a 1UP for the Nerazzurri.
Betting Tip: 1UP Inter @1.25
PSG vs. Marseille
Sunday’s Le Classique pits the two most lethal attacks in the league against each other. PSG has scored 43 league goals this season, averaging 2.15 per game, while Marseille has 46 goals at 2.3 per match. Everything points toward a high-scoring contest. When they met last month in the Trophée des Champions, it finished 2-2 before PSG won it on penalties, and I’m expecting another goal-filled affair.
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Total Goals @1.44
Bayern Munich vs. Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim have been one of the Bundesliga’s surprise packages this season, jumping from a 15th-place finish last year - just seven points clear of relegation - to sitting third and dreaming of a Champions League return for the first time since 2018/19. Bayern, however, will be eager to bounce back after a shock draw at Hamburger SV last weekend. The reverse fixture ended 4-1 to the Bavarians, with Harry Kane grabbing a hat-trick, and I expect the veteran striker to lead the way again.
Betting Tip: Harry Kane Anytime Scorer @1.50
Nantes vs. Lyon
Lyon is flying right now, winning an incredible 11 straight games across all competitions and staking a claim as Europe’s most in-form side. While Endrick didn’t feature in all of those matches, he certainly played a key role. Since arriving on loan from Real Madrid, the Brazilian has hit form with five goals in five appearances, including a beauty against Stade Laval in the French Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday. Away to 16th-placed Nantes, I’m backing Lyon to make it 12 in a row. On BetKing, you can get 2.4x your betting stake by using our Bet Builder feature for Endrick to have a goal contribution in a Lyon win.
Betting Tips: Bet Builder: Lyon Win + Endrick 1+ Goals or Assists @2.40 and 1UP Lyon @1.36
UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira
Vinicius Oliveira may be a perfect 4-0 in the UFC, but this is a big step up against Mario Bautista, whose eight-fight winning streak was snapped by Umar Nurmagomedov. It’s the first UFC main event for both fighters, but I see Bautista getting back to winning ways here. With each of his last five bouts going the distance, a decision victory looks likely.
