Didier Deschamps may rotate slightly, but securing first place remains a priority.
Tactically, the key battle is Haaland against William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano, but make we no lie, na Haaland vs. Mbappe we come watch. Across their combined four group matches, 17 goals have been scored by these teams, highlighting the attacking quality on display, and these two guys have been responsible for a large chunk of that. While Portugal were impressive against Uzbekistan, I expect something closer to their performance against DR Congo here. Chances should be limited for Ronaldo and his teammates, meaning they'll need to be clinical when opportunities come. I'm not convinced they will be, and Colombia look capable of taking at least a point from this game.

With zero points and a goal difference of -7, Uzbekistan's chances of reaching the knockout stage are pretty much gone. I haven’t seen the official numbers, but I’m guessing it’s about a 0.1% chance. Even if they win this game, they would need a huge swing in goal difference to have any realistic hope of advancing… a 9-0 win at the very least. That's not happening.
DR Congo, on the other hand, are still very much in the mix. Their draw against Portugal on Matchday 1 has left the door open, and a victory here would take them to four points, giving them a genuine chance of progressing as one of the best third-placed teams.
Interestingly, finishing among the top runners-up during qualification was how they secured their place at this World Cup, and they'll once again rely on a familiar formula: disciplined defending, efficient counter-attacking, and perhaps a little bit of fortune. If they can execute that game plan effectively, they should be in a strong position to reach the Round of 32.

Panama were widely tipped to finish bottom of the group, and that's exactly how things have played out. Interestingly, these teams met at the 2018 World Cup, where England cruised to a 6-1 victory, with Harry Kane grabbing a hat-trick in a one-sided contest that highlighted the gulf in quality. Thomas Tuchel will be hoping for a similar performance, while Kane - after drawing a blank against Ghana and falling behind Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland in the Golden Boot race - will see this as the perfect opportunity to close the goalscoring gap.
